Rishi was one of our first clients that was provided with this integrated solution. His website is based in and around information about the Right To Information Act (India), and allows users to upload/download information about various issues. RTI documentation and request procedures are notoriously cumbersome, and usually people require similar information about a given topic. This website allows users to upload such information gained from the RTI office in exchange for 'credits'. These credits can then be utilized if they wish to download RTI documents from other sources.
We've utilized our Multi-user shopping cart system for Rishi's website, thereby allowing users to upload and download RTI documentation in the form of 'products'. An advanced conditional credit system adds 1 credit to users who upload valid documentation (after administrative review) and debits 1 credit from users in exchange for downloading a document. Users with no credits are allowed to 'buy' credits at a nominal indian rupee rate and their cards or local bank accounts are charged accordingly.
